We are recruiting a Senior Backend Developer for a Media & Broadcasting Dutch SaaS company. You will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our back-end systems, collaborating closely with different teams to architect, develop, and optimize robust and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

– Lead the design, development, and optimization of back-end solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

– Mentor and guide team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

– Architect and implement highly available and resilient infrastructure solutions.

– Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and industry standards.

– Drive the adoption of testing frameworks and methodologies to ensure the quality and stability of our software products.

– Document technical designs, processes, and decisions to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Main Qualifications:

– 5+ years of experience in back-end software development.

– Proficiency in PHP, with expertise in frameworks such as Laravel.

– Strong understanding of caching strategies and techniques to improve API performance.

– Experience building and maintaining open RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

– Excellent communication skills (English) and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and international team environment.

Nice to Have:

– Experience in DevOps;

– Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud, selecting the correct services and navigating the infrastructure for support and debugging purposes.

– Knowledge of payment processing integrations and offline-first support is desirable.

– Affinity with media or broadcast productions.
