We are hiring a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer for a fast-growing RegTech company developing compliance and risk management technology for regulated financial services firms.

Role Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the strategic marketing direction required to scale a B2B SaaS demand engine and support ambitious ARR growth.

This is a senior strategic position focused on growth architecture, demand generation strategy, product positioning, PLG conversion, market entry and commercial marketing leadership. You will not manage day-to-day campaigns or content production. Instead, you will define the strategy, build the frameworks, coach the Head of Marketing and ensure execution is aligned with measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.

Working on a fractional basis of two days per week, you will partner closely with the CEO, senior leadership and the existing marketing function to transform marketing into a scalable commercial growth engine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining the overall demand generation and growth strategy.
  • Building a clear roadmap to significantly scale monthly MQL generation.
  • Designing channel strategy, conversion targets and cost-per-MQL frameworks.
  • Developing module-level positioning across KYC/KYB, AML, Corporate Compliance and Transaction Monitoring.
  • Creating differentiated messaging by ICP, region and product module.
  • Positioning the platform against established RegTech and compliance technology competitors.
  • Designing the PLG and self-serve conversion architecture for digital products.
  • Defining signup-to-activation-to-trial-to-paid conversion journeys.
  • Establishing lifecycle email strategies, activation triggers and PQL criteria.
  • Designing media budget allocation and spend-to-pipeline frameworks.
  • Defining market entry strategies across Africa, KSA, Brazil and the UK.
  • Coaching the Head of Marketing on strategic thinking, positioning and commercial narrative.
  • Advising senior leadership on marketing investment and growth priorities.
  • Improving alignment between Marketing and Business Development.
  • Building competitive intelligence and sales enablement frameworks.
  • Establishing attribution models and channel-level ROI measurement.
  • Translating marketing performance into commercial metrics including pipeline, conversion and ARR impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Senior leadership experience at VP Marketing, CMO or equivalent level.
  • Proven track record scaling a B2B SaaS demand generation engine.
  • Demonstrable experience growing lead generation from early-stage volumes to significant monthly MQL scale.
  • Experience marketing to regulated or compliance-sensitive buyers.
  • Strong expertise in demand generation architecture and multi-channel growth.
  • Proven experience in product marketing and competitive positioning.
  • Strong commercial understanding of pipeline, conversion economics and ARR growth.
  • Experience advising senior leadership on marketing investment and growth priorities.
  • Ability to coach and elevate an existing marketing leadership team without taking over day-to-day execution.
  • Strong multi-market and international growth experience.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-impact fractional leadership model.
