We are hiring a Backend Developer experienced in Python for a Portuguese Human Resources Management company with operations both nationally and internationally, specializing in Recruitment & Selection and Outsourcing in the Health and Information Technology sectors. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Python applications using the Django framework. 

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to collect and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications. 

• Contribute proactively to the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept through delivery and ongoing maintenance. 

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code, ensuring thorough documentation. 

• Develop, manage, and consume RESTful APIs to effectively integrate multiple systems and services. 

• Optimize database performance through efficient query design and management utilizing MariaDB/PostgreSQL. 

• Maintain and implement version control procedures using Git. 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently. 

• Remain current with industry trends and best practices in Python development, with particular attention to healthcare technology innovations. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. 

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Python backend development. 

• Proven expertise in Django framework. 

• Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically MariaDB/PostgreSQL, including database query optimization. 

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. 

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills. 

• Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively within diverse teams. 

• Nice to Have: Knowledge and awareness of current healthcare technology trends and best practices.
