We are looking for a Cloud Engineer – Azure Specialist to join our client’s team, a rapidly expanding financial services technology firm based in the United States, actively disrupting the private investment markets.

Your impact:

As a Cloud Platform Engineer – Azure Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the stability, scalability, and performance of our multi-cloud infrastructure. This dynamic role is set within a highly collaborative and innovative environment.

• Collaborate closely with our Platform development and Infrastructure teams to infuse cloud-native expertise into our platform’s growth and operational processes.
• Leverage your specialized knowledge in Azure to lead our expansion from AWS to Azure, establishing a reference Azure-based architecture and tailored solutions for our platform clients’ infrastructure needs.
• Oversee and monitor our cloud-based systems, proactively recommending and implementing adjustments to align with evolving requirements.
• Ensure that our Azure cloud infrastructure remains well-architected with focus on availability, resiliency, cost and security.

About you:

Our clients seek a candidate who embodies the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, demonstrating a successful track record in constructing highly scalable, high-performance, and reliable systems within the Azure ecosystem.
• Azure certification is a valuable asset.
• Your background may encompass either backend development within a platform team or an evolution from a DevOps background into cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise in crafting cloud-based solutions, with a focus on Azure, demonstrating mastery of Azure’s intricacies and the ability to architect robust and secure solutions.
• Practical understanding of multi-region cloud deployments, data replication, backup strategies, disaster recovery and security hardening.
• Profound comprehension of DevOps within a cloud environment.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, enabling seamless teamwork with cross-functional teams comprised of highly skilled professionals.

Nice-to-Haves:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

• Practical experience with other clouds such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in at least one contemporary programming language (e.g., Typescript, Python, Go).
